Meet Edward Cheng, L.Ac, MAOM
Passionately serving Pierce and King Counties: Covington, Maple Valley, Kent, Tacoma, Puyallup, and the beautiful Western Washington
His extensive training came from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taoyuan, Taiwan and being mentored by various world-class acupuncturists and master herbalists such as Dr. Zhang Bu Tao (張步桃), Dr. Zhang Heng Hong (張恆鴻), & Dr. Wu Qing Shui (巫清水). Dr. Zhang Bu Tao (more than 40 years of experience) has numerous students shadowing him while he is treating 200 patients in 2 hours using Chinese Herbs; he has written many Traditional Chinese Medicine books, and was featured on several TV shows in Taiwan. Dr. Zhang Heng Hong (more than 30 years of experience) is the Dean of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital who specializes in Internal Medicine and sees more than 170 patients in a day through Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. Dr. Wu Qing Shui (over 40 years of experience) is an expert in the field of stroke recovery, traumatology, and rheumatology. He has helped many stroke patients, including Edward’s aunt, to recover drastically from their stroke and gain their lives back.
In his previous work as an acupuncturist, Edward treated about 100 patients a week. Having the privilege to be taught by such great mentors, Edward’s vision is to utilize the knowledge and experience that he has gained to help and heal as many people as possible. He treats most Western illnesses and disease processes with a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and patient education.
